The government has decided to implement the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme for the ex-servicemen with effect from July 1, 2014.

The scheme will be implemented with an annual financial implication of Rs. 8,000 crore.

The government has also decided to constitute a one-member judicial committee to look into the anomalies, if any, that may arise out of the implementation of the OROP.

The committee will submit its report within six months.
